Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Bournemouth centre-forward Dominic Solanke for a potential summer transfer.

They have been linked with him since quite some time but the reports have started to gather pace in the last week in particular.

The Lilywhites are eager to enhance their attacking lineup and see Solanke as a viable target.

However, Spurs are hesitant to meet the £65 million release clause attached to the 26-year-old striker’s contract. According to the latest from GiveMeSport, Solanke is open to a move to Tottenham and while sources close to the club have denied reports that they made a January bid for him, it is said that Ange himself is personally pushing for this move to happen.

Despite valuing Solanke at under £50 million, Spurs are considering alternative payment structures to make the deal feasible. As of now, they have not yet made an official offer to the Cherries.

Solanke’s tenure at Bournemouth has been filled with impressive performances since his arrival in January 2019. During the 2020-21 season, he netted 15 goals, making him the joint-top scorer for the club in the Championship. His prowess continued into the following season, where he scored 29 goals and 7 assists, helping Bournemouth secure promotion back to the Premier League.

Last season, Solanke’s exceptional form earned him a contract extension until 2027. His notable achievements included scoring his first senior hat-trick and winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for December.

He also set a personal record with 19 goals in the Premier League, further solidifying his status as a top-tier striker and an appealing option for Tottenham. (Transfermarkt)

As Spurs look to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season, Solanke’s potential acquisition could significantly enhance their offensive capabilities. Fans are keenly watching the transfer developments, hopeful that Solanke could be the new addition to boost Tottenham’s attacking strength.
