Rangers could ask for a harder week in terms of an away fixture and then in terms of quality for Philippe Clement to navigate this week.
First up, is a trip to Dingwall and a lunch-time kick-off in weather conditions that are expected to be far from conducent to fast and free flowing football, however, these are the cards that the manager has been dealt.
On the other side is the blockbuster double header ending in an Old Firm cup final, with an under pressure Ange Postecoglou bringing Tottenham Hotspur to Ibrox in between – could his last game in charge be against Rangers?
Spurs to back Ange Postecoglou despite sack pressure
It would be a bizarre twist of fate if Clement was able to do what his predecessors struggled to do and beat a Postecoglu side in a meaningful game.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst guided Rangers to a memorable Scottish Cup win, but struggled, badly, in the league.
According to TBR Football though, victory wouldn’t quite be enough to see Rangers fans get their wish, should they be able to serenade the Australian gaffer with, “He’s getting sacked in the morning!”.
“TBR Football sources have confirmed Daniel Levy and Tottenham are not panicking about Postecoglou’s position at the club,” the report claimed.
“The away fans were not the only people venting their frustration on Thursday night as Jamie O’Hara suggested Postecoglou could be sacked following the game.

“But TBR understands the north London club still hold belief in the Australian to see out the project he has started at Spurs.”
Can Rangers beat Spurs?
Despite Rangers not being expected to beat Spurs, defeat wouldn’t help Clement’s situation.
There are parallels between the two sides just now in terms of consistency with form and pressure on the manager.
In contrast, a win would see belief reach the sort of levels only previously seen when the Gers boss guided the Light Blues to the top of the Scottish Premiership after reeling Celtic in.
The current team is still in its infancy and a big result could be the springboard needed to galvanise the players and the fans as one ahead of what could be a career defining Premier Sports Cup final for Clement.
At Ibrox on a Thursday night, anything can happen.
