Antonin Kinsky has been discussing whether or not he expects to make his Tottenham Hotspur debut in their EFL Cup semi-final clash with Liverpool.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper only joined Spurs from Slavia Prague for £12.5m on Sunday.

Kinsky’s move comes following a breakthrough start to the campaign that saw him play 29 times across all competitions — including in Champions League Qualifying and the Europa League — keeping 14 clean sheets and conceding only 18 goals.

His form has helped Slavia sit top of the table with just one defeat from 19 games, moving seven points clear of closest rivals Viktoria Plzen.

Kinsky’s senior football prior to this season has mostly come away from Slavia on loan.

Will Antonin Kinsky play vs Liverpool?

Despite his lack of experience, Spurs fans are now wondering whether or not Kinsky could feature in their EFL Cup semi-final first leg at home to Liverpool on Wednesday.

After all, first-choice stopper Guglielmo Vicario is still sidelined with an ankle injury, while Fraser Forster has been ill, meaning Brandon Austin made his Spurs debut against Newcastle at the weekend.

So, does Kinsky expect to play?

“I haven’t even unpacked my bag yet, but I’m thinking about every upcoming match,” Kinsky admitted (via TBR).

“I’ll prepare myself so that I’m ready. And if the coach decides to call me, I’ll be ready. I feel great. I’m calm in my head. I want to continue where I left off calmly.”

The Czech Republic youth international has already taken part in his first training session with Spurs, but still needs to integrate with the wider squad.

“I had my first one with the goalkeeper coach on Sunday morning. Then I should join the team. I will try to adapt as quickly as possible,” he added.
