The Gunners are understood to consider the Belgium international as a key part of their first-team squad.
As a result, Al Ittihad are now turning their attention to FC Porto winger Galeno.

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Eddie Nketiah on a five-year deal.

Nketiah, who scored 38 goals in 168 games for Arsenal, will wear the number nine shirt at Selhurst Park.
