AZ Alkmaar turned out to be the better side in their UEFA Europa League 2024-25 Round of 16 first leg clash against Tottenham on Thursday night at home. The Dutch side got the lead through on own goal from Tottenham's Lucas Bergvall in just the 18th minute of the game. Tottenham could not bounce back and dished out a lackluster performance as Alkmaar came close to doubling their lead quite a few times.
