Richarlison rejected a big-money move to Saudi Arabia in the summer and chose to fight for his place at Tottenham.

However, he hasn’t been able to make much of a case for himself because of his persistent injury issues. And things continue getting worse for him.

Richarlison return pushed to November

Tottenham have received more bad news in the injury department with Richarlison set to remain out until his side’s first game of November, which will see them host Aston Villa at home in the Premier League.

A leg injury has kept the Brazil international out of action since the second game of the season, though he has been nursing issues since the back end of last season.

The update on Richarlison’s injury arrives on the back of Lucas Bergvall having moved to the sidelines after returning early from international duty due to injury. Wilson Odobert and Son Heung-min, meanwhile, are expected to return ahead of the West Ham game.

Give it time

Richarlison is not a sure starter for Tottenham at the moment; he can be given time.

His profile makes him useful for Ange Postecoglou, though it’s also clear that the club would like to cut their losses if and when they get the chance.

Therefore, it’s in the club’s best interests to give him as much time he needs to recover before asking him to return to the pitch.
