Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Burnley winger Wilson Odobert (19), according to a report this Friday from Sacha Tavolieri. The report mentions that the former Troyes player underwent medical tests with the North London-based Premier League club with a deal entering its closing stages. The Paris Saint-Germain youth product joined the Clarets from Troyes last summer in a €12m deal. Tottenham’s outlay for the talented France U23 international remains undisclosed.
Odobert logged four goals and three assists in 33 games played with Vincent Kompany’s Burnley FC last season, which did not prevent the Clarets from going down in the EFL Championship. Odobert was on the scoresheet for Burnley’s season-opening 4-1 away win against Luton Town. The 19-year-old was tied to the Turf Moor side with a contract set to expire in 2028.
