Manchester City will travel to face Tottenham Hotspur in the headline tie from the Carabao Cup’s fourth round draw.
Pep Guardiola’s team will take on the North London side in the capital in the pick of the ties, following the draw for the fourth round on Wednesday evening.
Holders Liverpool also face a difficult challenge after being drawn to face Brighton at the Amex Stadium, with the trip to the south coast their reward for a 5-1 thrashing of West Ham in midweek.
Chelsea, who reached the final in 2023/24, will take on the winners of AFC Wimbledon and Newcastle United away from home. The latter fixture was postponed due to issues with Wimbledon’s pitch. It has been rescheduled at Newcastle’s St James’ Park for October 1.
Elsewhere, Preston North End – who eliminated Fulham in a record-breaking penalty shootout that ended 16-15 to the Championship club, will host Arsenal at Deepdale.
The fourth-round ties are due to be played on the week commencing 28 October.
