Watch £35m-rated Maatsen's best bits for Dortmund
Ian Maatsen could leave Chelsea this summer, with Aston Villa reportedly interested.
Find out why here by watching his best bits from an impressive loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.
His deal at Chelsea is understood to include a £35m release clause.
'Chelsea's Duran chase progresses'
Chelsea have been given permission to discuss personal terms with Aston Villa's Jhon Duran, according to The Telegraph.
The Blues are on the lookout for a striker this summer - and a deal for Duran to go to Stamford Bridge could open the door to a Chelsea player going the other way.
The Telegraph report that on top of Conor Gallagher being a target, Villa have enquired about Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen, who spent the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Maatsen has a £35m release clause in his deal, the report says, which Dortmund are unwilling to pay. That has opened the door to Villa to swoop in.
The Telegraph claim that Villa will only be able to buy Chelsea players if Duran moves to Stamford Bridge.
Bayern still keeping tabs on Colwill
Bayern Munich are continuing to keep tabs on Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, with the German club considering alternative targets to Bayer Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah, according to ESPN.
Gallagher: It was sad to see Poch leave
Conor Gallagher admits he was “sad” to see Mauricio Pochettino leave Chelsea but is putting his own future to one side to focus on England’s Euro 2024 campaign.
The 24-year-old made 50 appearances last season for the Blues, captaining the side under Pochettino – who left Stamford Bridge by mutual consent in May.
While it proved a tumultuous campaign for Chelsea as a whole, Gallagher arguably played some of the most consistent football of his career, sealing himself a place in Gareth Southgate’s European Championships squad in the process.
Pochettino paid the price for Chelsea’s sixth-placed Premier League finish and has been replaced by Enzo Maresca.
“Of course he has done so much for me so I was sad,” Gallagher said on Pochettino’s exit.
“Sad for him and coaching staff but really excited about the new manager coming in and myself and everyone at Chelsea is really excited to work with him.
“I think I have come a long way this season, I give a lot of credit to Pochettino and what he has done for me, gave me responsibility and trust at Chelsea.
“That puts me in a better position to be a bigger part of the squad at this tournament and I’ll do as much as I can to help England in the tournament.
“He just showed his belief and trust in me which is all a player wants to be honest. If a manager shows you a bit of love, it makes you play better.
“Long story short, it gives you confidence and that’s what it gave me so I just build on that.
“A lot of credit to Pochettino for giving me that opportunity to show Chelsea what I could do in the last season, hopefully there is still room for improvement.”

Chelsea considering push to renew Gallagher deal
Chelsea are considering a shift in their position over selling Conor Gallagher and could make a concerted effort to agree a new deal with the midfielder, according to The Guardian.
Gallagher, who is out of contract at the end of next season, remains a candidate to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and is wanted by Aston Villa and Tottenham.
However, Gallagher's preference is to remain at his boyhood club and it is understood that Chelsea are open to securing his future if there is a resumption in talks over a contract extension.
Gallagher is believed to be prepared to sit tight for another year and will not be pressured into a move that does not meet his requirements. He is believed to be lukewarm on the idea of being involved in a swap for Jhon Duran, with Chelsea interested in the Villa striker.

Chelsea retain interest in Villa striker Duran
Latest from Sky Sports News' Dharmesh Sheth and Lyall Thomas:
Chelsea retain an interest in Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran.
Sky Sports News reported the Blues' interest in January and the Colombia international remains on a list of strikers they are looking at this summer.
Duran joined Villa from Chicago Fire in January 2023 and scored eight goals in 37 appearances.
Meanwhile, Villa have shown interest in Conor Gallagher, who has just 12 months remaining on his Chelsea deal.
Wolves, Southampton and Everton keen on Chelsea's Broja
Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas:
Wolves, Southampton and Everton are among the clubs interested in Armando Broja.
However, all three clubs need to raise funds to be able to sign the striker this summer.
Chelsea will listen to offers for Broja, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Fulham.
Wolves have a long-term interest in the Albania international but need to sell players to raise funds for a purchase of that size.
Southampton are also understood to have cast doubt on their ability to afford the striker on the current terms of a deal.
Everton also admire Broja but their extremely difficult financial situation remains, at least until a takeover of the club is completed.
According to Sky Italy, AC Milan are also interested in Broja and may look at signing him, regardless of what happens with their pursuit of Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee.
Chelsea 'reignite Duran interest'
Chelsea have reignited their interest in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Duran signed for Villa in a deal worth £18m in January 2023 and the 20-year-old scored eight goals last season.
Chelsea first monitored his availability in the January transfer window and the player is reportedly back on their radar as they work through their striker targets for this summer.
Previous option RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko looks set to sign a new contract at the club but the new deal won't include a release clause.
The Slovenia striker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Bayern interested in signing Colwill - Sky Germany
Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg:
"Given Jonathan Tah has emerged as a target to join Bayern Munich, a lot of people will be wondering what this means for Levi Colwill given he was linked with a move to the club.
"Colwill has a long-term contract at Chelsea but he is still on Bayern's wish list. He's not just been there for a few days but weeks. He's definitely a target.
"He's a left-footer and they don't have a left-footer among their centre-backs. Eric Dier, Kim Min-jae, Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs de Ligt are all right-footers.
"The priority is to sign Tah, but if this deal fails then Colwill is the top alternative. I can't exclude that Bayern will look to sign Colwill in addition to Tah as De Ligt is available to be sold."
Jackson could miss start of pre-season campaign
Nicolas Jackson may not be fully fit for the start of Chelsea's pre-season campaign after suffering an ankle injury while playing for Senegal last week, according to the Daily Mail.
Everton chasing Broja - reports
Everton are in talks to sign striker Armando Broja from Chelsea in a £30m deal, according to Ben Jacobs.
The 22-year-old experienced a disappointing loan spell at Fulham during the second half of last season.
The Albania international made just eight substitute appearances under Marco Silva following his January arrival, failing to register a goal.
Chelsea only interested in selling Lukaku to Napoli
Chelsea are insisting Romelu Lukaku's £38m release clause for must be met, with no loan move being acceptable to the west London club.
Chelsea are led to believe Napoli can’t afford the player unless they sell striker Victor Osimhen.
Recently appointed Napoli manager Antonio Conte wants to bring Lukaku to Naples, although the Serie A only want a loan deal for the Belgium international and there is no chance of that happening — they will have to buy the forward outright.
If Napoli don’t meet Lukaku's £38m buyout clause, Chelsea will continue to discuss possible interest in the frontman from both the Saudi Pro League and from elsewhere in Europe.
Nkunku wants Chelsea stay despite interest elsewhere
Chelsea have reportedly received interest in 2023 summer signing Christopher Nkunku, but the player is keen to stay and prove himself at Stamford Bridge (Daily Express).
Chelsea sign Tosin on free transfer
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer following his release from Fulham.
The centre-back rejected several new contract offers at Craven Cottage before leaving as a free agent and agreeing to become the first signing under new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.
