Wolves want £60 million for their star winger Pedro Neto amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Pedro Neto has had an impressive rise at Wolverhampton Wanderers since joining them from Lazio in 2019. While injuries have been a major hurdle in his progress, his consistent performances and huge potential have attracted interest from across Europe.
Tottenham are one of the clubs who are keen on signing the Portuguese international as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of the 2024/25 season. But, they are going to find things difficult as Wolves will have the upper hand in negotiations with three years left on Neto’s contract and according to a report from GIVEMESPORT, they have slapped a massive £60million price tag on their 24-year-old.
While he could only feature in 24 matches last season, Neto had three goals and 11 assists to his name. He seems to be just the right fit for Tottenham who are reportedly ready to cash in on Dejan Kulusevski. They want an upgrade on the right flank and the Portuguese winger could help their cause.
Kulusevski has exceptional technical abilities but he is not someone who is very quick or known to take on defenders. However, Neto is someone who has the pace and can use his acceleration to get away from the opposition defenders. More importantly, he can feature anywhere in attack which will give Ange Postecoglou more tactical versatility.
While the player is keen on making a move to a bigger club where he can compete in Europe, signing him won’t be straightforward thanks to the massive asking price and interest from rivals Newcastle United and Liverpool.
