Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed today that their rising star, Mikey Moore, has signed his first professional contract with the club.
It was reported last week that Moore has agreed to a new deal and that it is going to be finalised on Sunday.
And earlier today, the club officially announced that the young attacker has signed for the club. This deal is said to be the most lucrative ever extended to a 17-year-old by Spurs, making it a record-breaking deal at this level.
Moore has been a standout performer in Tottenham’s youth system, especially in the U18 Premier League last season, where he scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in just 12 games.
Having joined Spurs as a U9 player, Moore’s development has been nothing short of extraordinary.
He rapidly progressed through the club’s ranks, playing pivotal roles in Tottenham’s U17 and U18 teams during the 2022-23 season, helping them secure league titles.
Remarkably, at just 15, he made his debut for the U21s, becoming one of the youngest players to do so.
Moore’s talents were further recognised when he made his first-team debut in May this year during a Premier League match against Manchester City.
At just 16 years and 277 days, he became the youngest player in Tottenham’s history to feature in a league match, setting a new club record.
In May this year, Moore made his first-team debut in a Premier League match against Manchester City, setting a new record as the youngest player in Tottenham’s history to play in the league at 16 years and 277 days.
With his first professional contract now signed, Moore is expected to play a crucial role in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the upcoming season.
