Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke have all travelled to the Netherlands and will all be available for Thursday evening’s Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar.

Having all missed significant chunks of our season through respective injuries, it was a welcome site to see them all return to full training in the past week - and are all back in contention to wear our lilywhite shirt once more.

While Dom has been out for our last 10 games with a knee injury, muscular issues have seen Micky feature in just two of our last 27 games while Cuti have played in just one of our last 25.

Now though, they could all play their part in what is a huge night for us in Alkmaar as we kick-off our Europa League knockout stage campaign with our round of 16 first leg clash at the AFAS Stadion on Thursday night (5.45pm UK). However, caution will continue to be exercised in their return to first-team duties.

When speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Ange was asked whether the trio were ready to start in Alkmaar.

"We'll see," he responded. "We'll train tonight. They've all been out for an amount of time, so we'll see when we reintroduce them. They're here, training and we'll make decisions after that."

There was disappointing news elsewhere though as Dejan Kulusevski will miss the game in the Netherlands with a foot injury. He is likely to be out of action until the return of domestic football following March's international break.

Ben Davies and Richarlison also remain sidellined.

Djed Spence, Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel are all in line to make their European debuts for the Club as they are all included in our squad for the knockout stages.

Fraser Forster, Antonin Kinsky, Sergio Reguilon, Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner are all ineligible for the Europa League.
