The Opposition

Arsenal went unbeaten in their opening seven games in all competitions this season, first tasting defeat in mid-October against Aston Villa.

Despite that impressive start, Adam Birchall's side failed to win their next five games in all competitions. However, they ended 2024 by edging a seven-goal thriller against Hertford Town 4-3 in the FA Youth Cup.

After progressing in the same competition against QPR on penalties in January, the Gunners were unbeaten in their next four - a run which saw them beat West Ham, Fulham and West Brom before scoring five against Southampton.

However, back-to-back defeats against Brighton and Manchester United, followed by being edged out by us in a ten-goal thriller at Hotspur Way put a dent in their title aspirations.

Since then, they've won all of their last seven games to march up to third in the Under-18 Premier League table, dispatching Chelsea, Leicester (twice), Norwich, Fulham and former league leaders Crystal Palace.

They come into this game off the back of a dominant 4-0 win over Reading, in a game which saw Max Dowman bag all four goals and now know an eighth consecutive win will take them top of the league.
