Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is looking to part ways with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of next season.

The Danish international joined the North London club back in the summer of 2020. He was an integral part of their first team over the years but a lot has changed post the arrival of Ange Postecoglou.

He is no longer a regular under the Australian manager and according to Corriere dello Sport via SportWitness, Hojbjerg is pushing for a move away from Tottenham.

While he was involved in 39 matches last season, the former Southampton star was on the pitch for less than 1,500 minutes. He is frustrated by the lack of game time and is planning to leave the club in the summer in search of regular minutes and more prominence. His agents have already held talks with multiple clubs as they look to find the ideal destination for him.

There is still a year left on the defensive midfielder’s contract at Tottenham but it seems his time at the club is virtually over as he seeks a new club. The 28-year-old wants to feature in the Champions League next season something Spurs can’t offer him.

Hojbjerg who was one of the standout performers for Denmark in their draw against England at the Euros is on the wishlist of multiple top clubs from Italy and he seems to be an affordable option for them as he will be available for just £17 million with only 12 months left on his deal at Tottenham.
