Lucas Bergvall escapes a sanction after losing the ball and lunging in to chase after it, fouling an Arsenal player - Partey, I think. And so they’ll have yet another set piece from a position that could trouble Tottenham’s defence.
Kinsky, again, comes to the rescue as Trossard threatens - but the offside flag is raised so even if they scored there, it wouldn’t have counted.
And wow! Another MASSIVE let-off as Spurs play out from defence. Kinsky dwells on the ball for a touch too long, he’s closed down and his pass is blocked! Luckily for him, he is able to scoop up the ball but if it dropped loose, his net was exposed! Kai Havertz was the player there who almost made that happen for Arsenal, I believe.
Now they’ve got ANOTHER corner. Kinsky gets his glove to it. And now, finally, Spurs have the ball and break into their own attacking half… but the long ball to Son fails. Rinse, repeat.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham, 19 minutes
Big, big opportunity missed there by Trossard, I think it was, who received a pass after a wonderful ball from Odegaard - but Spurs are able to scramble free!
They are under fire, here, Tottenham, and they’re only just hanging on. They’ve given away another corner. Arsenal look to turn the screws… they go short, to the other side, Timber crosses and Kinsky collects.
Spurs can’t hold onto the ball and it’s resulting in wave after wave of attack by Arsenal.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham, 14 minutes
Another corner. Spurs have been a little too sloppy with the ball so far and Arsenal are pouncing on their mistakes. Pedro Porro blocks the attempt to come short with the dead ball and it’s out for a throw.
But Arsenal win it back again… and now Lucas Bergvall gives away a free kick on that right flank for a foul on Jurrien Timber, I think it was. So here’s Martin Odegaard… he sends the ball into the box, but Kinsky punches it away at the front post. They’re clearly trying to put him under pressure.
Another corner, then! Back post, deflected out, it’ll be another corner.
Third in quick succession for the home side. Kinsky gets to it again. But Arsenal retain possession… and they begin to stroke it around.
Can we breathe now?
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham, 11 minutes
Now a corner kick for Arsenal, won off Radu Dragusin. Rice will deliver. Can they test Kinsky? Nope, that goes deep, past the back post and out for a goal kick.
Spurs go forward for the first time through Son Heung-min but he’s easily dispossessed and how Arsenal has it again. Wait, no they don’t.
We were saying in the office yesterday that this game could be anything, but it certainly wouldn’t be boring. Hasn’t been so far.
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham, 6 minutes
We’re off. Spurs have the kick-off, they go back to newly-signed goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, making just his third start for the club… he goes long but turns it over and that leads to a foul, and a free kick for Arsenal in a good area. Can they make their set-piece strength count early? Declan Rice sends it in… cleared by Tottenham.
And now Raheem Sterling, is he one-on-one? Almost. He half-beats Kinsky with a step but Archie Gray clears the danger.
Hot start!
Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham, 3 minutes
Kick-off is just a few moments away. The Emirates is bouncing. Everyone’s nervous. Maybe even me.
Tottenham Hotspur will have Brazil forward Richarlison available for Wednesday’s Premier League clash away to north London rivals Arsenal, manager Ange Postecoglou said on Tuesday.
Richarlison has made only seven appearances this season and has not featured since Nov. 3 because of a hamstring injury.
While his return to the squad is a boost for injury-hit Tottenham, German forward Timo Werner has been ruled out with a hamstring issue picked up during the unconvincing 3-0 FA Cup third round victory at Tamworth on Sunday.
“The only one who picked up an injury (against Tamworth) was Timo,” Postecoglou told reporters. “It’s a hamstring injury and we’re waiting on the results of that scan. In terms of incoming, Richy is available.”
Tottenham have won only once in their last eight Premier League games and that was against bottom club Southampton.
Injuries to the likes of defenders Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario have hit hard and Tottenham are 12th in the standings ahead of the derby.
Arsenal, who lost to Manchester United on penalties in the FA Cup third round on Sunday, have also been hit with injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.

Jack Draper, the British No.1, fought his way into the third round of the Australian Open, facing down a boorish home crowd and taking inspiration from Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou.
Draper was repeatedly booed and jeered by boozy Australian fans as he twice came from a set down to defeat home favourite Thanasi Kokkinakis in a raucous John Cain Arena.
Draper took great pride from his victory, a 6-7, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 barnstormer that lasted four hours and 35 minutes, making it the longest match of his career.
After sealing his win with a forehand winner, he applauded the hostile crowd and then performed a slow 360-degree turn on the spot, eyeballing the fans and giving them a thumbs-up gesture.
“I enjoy it, to be honest,” Draper said of all the hooting and jeering, which often happened after he had missed a first serve.
“At the end of the day it’s a bit of fun. I was watching a few of the Premier League [examples] with the FA Cup. Everyone getting on [Ange] Postecoglou’s back the other night [against Tamworth], and he just stood there taking it.
“It’s good sport. It’s entertainment [and] it gave me a lot of energy. I appreciate that.”
