Inter Milan and AC Milan have enquired about the availability of Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.
Højbjerg has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham and with his contract running out in 12 months, his departure in the ongoing transfer window is almost certain.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Inter Milan and AC Milan are interested in the services of the Danish midfielder and have sought more information from Spurs about a potential transfer.
Hojbjerg was an integral part of the North London club’s first team prior to the arrival of Ange Postecoglou. But, a lot has changed since the Australian manager took charge of the club. While he was involved in 39 matches last season, the 28-year-old was on the pitch for less than 1,500 minutes.
The player is frustrated by the lack of game time and is keen on making a move away from the club.
Spurs are also ready to cash in on him as they do not want to lose out on him for free next summer.
With the player keen on a move, Inter Milan and AC Milan have knocked on Tottenham’s door for more information about a potential transfer.
The North London club value him at around €15 million while the player receives around €3.3 million as wages. While his wages could turn out to be a problem for the Italian clubs, the player could consider lowering them in search of a long-term deal. With Denmark’s run in Euro 2024 coming to an end in the round of 16 against Germany, the player is now expected to decide his future.
