Bournemouth are reportedly eyeing Tammy Abraham as a potential replacement for Dominic Solanke, who is set to join Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have finalised a £65million deal with Bournemouth for the England international, who had already agreed personal terms with Ange Postecoglou's side.
With last season's top scorer expected to leave in a record-breaking sale, Bournemouth have begun their search for a suitable successor. Roma striker Abraham, who has spent three seasons in Serie A, is believed to be on their radar and is keen on a return to the Premier League.
The former Chelsea striker, who was a team-mate of Solanke during their time at the Cobham academy, missed most of last season due to a severe anterior cruciate knee ligament injury that kept him out for 10 months. However, after returning to the pitch in April against fierce rivals Lazio, he is now focused on overcoming his fitness issues.
Abraham has two years left on his contract with Roma, but after recently signing Artem Dovbyk, last season's La Liga top scorer from Girona, the Giallorossi are open to negotiations and will therefore entertain offers.
According to Italian sources, Roma are eager to keen to save money on Abraham's wages as he earns between £3.5million and £4m net per season, a significant salary that could pose a challenge for Bournemouth if they decide to pursue their interest.
No discussions have taken place at this point. Importantly, Bournemouth's President of Football Operations, Tiago Pinto, who brought Abraham to Roma in 2021, maintains a strong relationship with the player, reports the Mirror.

It is understood that Pinto played a key role in attracting the former Aston Villa and Swansea City striker to the Stadio Olimpico, despite intense competition, and awarded him the No. 9 shirt.
AC Milan's summer overtures towards Roma's hitman Tammy Abraham hit a snag. It is understood the towering striker could be snapped up for £20 million, with Roma may be open to the possibility of an initial loan deal that could blossom into a full transfer.
Daniele De Rossi, Roma's manager, recently heaped praises on Abraham, saying: "Tammy is a strong player in our squad, then the market tells you that even those you thought you were keeping leave and those you thought were leaving stayed and had incredible seasons.
"He is an important player for us and could have a lot of value. He has recovered, I saw him in the last six months when he returned from a very serious injury. I know that what I saw is not the real Tammy and we are banking on him."
