Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze in recent months.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has established himself as a key player for the Eagles in the Premier League, and there is no doubt that he could be a quality acquisition for Tottenham as well.
Eze is versatile enough to operate in the attacking midfield role as well as in the wide areas. He has six goals and seven assists to his name in all competitions this season. His numbers are likely to improve when he is playing in a better team alongside quality players. The move to Tottenham could be ideal for him at this stage of his career.
Tottenham need more cutting edge in the final third, and the England international would be the ideal addition for them.
Romano confirms Tottenham interest in Eberechi Eze
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that the player has been on Tottenham’s radar since 2023, and he is highly rated at the club. However, any deal could be difficult to pull off. He is likely to be an expensive acquisition and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to pay a premium for him.
He said to GMS: “He’s on Spurs list since 2023, he’s always been highly rated at the club. But the release clause is very expensive and the payment for the clause is not allowed in 3/4 years as usually happens, so that’s what makes the deal difficult – and there are more clubs also keen.”
Eze is a proven performer in the Premier League, and he could hit the ground running at Tottenham if he joins the club. He could improve them going forward and add some much needed unpredictability to their attack.
The player is at the peak of his power, and he will want to compete at high-level. The move to Tottenham could be quite attractive for him.
