Iwobi's stats this season

Fulham 3-1 Brighton

Alex Iwobi has been a star for Fulham this season. The 28-year-old moved to Fulham last season from Everton but it is only now he is really hitting the peak of his powers at the London club.

The midfielder has played 16 games for Fulham this campaign across all competitions. In those matches he has scored five goals and made three assists.

In the Premier League specifically, he has played all 14 games and scored 5 goals. He has created five big chances, made 41 crosses and has blocked seven shots.

'Hurzeler will be quite happy with his team's performance'

Fulham 3-1 Brighton

Glenn Murray

Former Brighton striker on 5 Live Breakfast

It wasn't an ideal start but you've got to give credit to Fulham, they pressed well, that was one of their tactics going into the game and they got the rewards early doors.

Due to the weather, it wasn't very nice at Craven Cottage, Fulham walk away with three points and rightly so but I think if you zoom out and take the emotion out of the fixture, Fabian Hurzeler will be quite happy with his team's performance. If they can keep putting those performances in, the results will keep coming.

I think both clubs, after the evening, sitting fifth and sixth in the Premier League early December. They'll both be relatively happy.

Who's next for Fulham?

Fulham 3-1 Brighton

Fulham's opponent next up is tricky as they have London rivals Arsenal, who currently sit in third. They are six points ahead of Fulham.

However, with Fulham's current form and Alex Iwobi in particular shining at the moment, it wouldn't be a huge upset if they were to win.

Fulham also have a slight inside man as Emile Smith Rowe will be playing his former side. The 24-year-old came through the academy at the Gunners. He moved to Fulham in the 2024 summer transfer window.

Fulham climb to sixth

Fulham 3-1 Brighton

Fulham's impressive win over Brighton means they are now sixth in the Premier League. They have 22 points after winning six of their 14 matches this season.

They are 13 points off leaders Liverpool and just four points outside the top four.

Last campaign they finished 13th with a haul of 47 points with 13 wins. They are on heir way to beating that form by a long way.

Media conference mayhem

With a full slate of Premier League games this weekend, we will be hearing from plenty of managers today.

There are 15 (FIFTEEN) media conferences scheduled for today, with Eddie Howe of Newcastle first up.

The man under pressure, Ange Postecoglou, will address the press at 11.30 GMT, then in the afternoon we will hear from plenty more bosses.

Arne Slot, Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola are among the managers we expect to hear from today.

Poll: Were Spurs fans right to boo and shout abuse at Postecoglou?

We're getting your views on the Spurs fans' reaction to Ange Postecoglou last night at Bournemouth, where the manager confronted some fans over what they were shouting at him.

Are the fans entitled to air their views? Should they be more respectful of the manager? Or should they boo, but hold off anything stronger?

Let us know your thoughts with the above poll, and we'll reveal the results later today.

'Bournemouth do what they do'

Tony Pulis

Former Bournemouth manager on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Bournemouth do what they do. Every week they drop deep, defend deep and throw their bodies in front of the ball to stop it going in the net. Then when they get the ball, one set up and they are off. They have such good legs in the team and get up and down the pitch for 90+ minutes per week.

'There was no urgency'

FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham

Les Ferdinand

Former Tottenham striker on Amazon Prime

Tottenham didn't look like they could score.

I thought Spurs could only be better in the second half and they were slightly better, but there was no urgency. We didn't know what Spurs was going to turn up tonight - and that wasn't the Spurs we wanted.

Mid-table congestion

FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham

Following the midweek Premier League fixtures, the table appears to be splitting into three sub-groups.

Manchester City in fourth are three points clear of fifth-place Brighton. The Seagulls though are just four points above Manchester United, who are down in 13th.

United are then a full four points above West Ham in 14th, with the Hammers at the top of what looks like the table of teams fighting to avoid relegation this season.

Will Spurs recruit in January?

FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham

Given their injury issues and poor form, Spurs may be tempted to dip into the winter market.

They have been linked with a move for a striker to back up Dominic Solanke, who missed the Fulham draw with illness, as teenager Mikey Moore has also suffered injury problems.

Ange Postecoglou said before the Bournemouth loss: "There's no doubt we need some bolstering in that front third over the next couple of transfer windows. Dom [Solanke] coming in has been great, but again we can't overload him either. It's something we're aware of and need to plan for."

Are injuries killing Spurs' season?

FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham

According to Premier Injuries, external, Spurs have eight first team players out injured or suspended - the second-most of any Premier League side, behind Southampton.

These include first choice keeper Gigi Vicario, out for months with a broken ankle, and senior centre-back pairing Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Add in Rodrigo Bentancur facing four more games out due to a ban following racist comments about Son Heung-min, and Spurs could suffer for a while longer.
