Our Foundation continues to drive education opportunities for youngsters with the announcement of a new programme focused on sustainability, in collaboration with our partner Schneider Electric.

The primary schools’ programme will focus on developing essential skills that are critical in the national and global transition towards green energy, including key STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) topics such as Robotics & Machine Control, Energy Efficiency and eMobility.

Furthermore, Schneider Electric employees will support in the implementation of Challenge Days and workshops for the students that foster teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking using real life scenarios.

The 9-week programme will conclude with a ‘Finals Day’ event at F1 DRIVE London – the world’s first in-stadium electric karting facility – using techniques the students have learned. F1 DRIVE London is driving diversity in motorsport by providing apprenticeship and career opportunities for local young people, with a focus on women and underrepresented groups, and recently hosted a driving masterclass with racing champion Abbi Pulling for students from Tottenham.

Kelly Becke, President of Schneider Electric UK & Ireland, Belgium and Netherlands, said: “We need to inspire talent from an early age if we are truly going to harness the potential of the energy transition. Our work with Tottenham Hotspur highlights the huge opportunities these skills have on creating positive and impactful environmental change, and we are excited to expand our partnership to educate and empower the local community on this.

“Initiatives such as these will prove vital in equipping the next generation with the skills needed to develop scalable, equitable, and efficient energy solutions for a sustainable future.”

Andrew Wands, Education Manager at the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, said: "We’re really excited to launch this programme in collaboration with Schneider Electric. Our goal is to create a stimulating environment in which local students can explore STEM subjects in hands-on and engaging ways, as part of our wider work helping young people prepare for their futures.”

Schneider Electric is a global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation. It’s partnership with the Club supports our journey to net-zero by powering 100 per cent renewable energy of all electrical equipment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
