Tottenham went down 1-0 to Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday evening and here are our player ratings from the match.
Spurs had won 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium in November and overcame City 2-1 in the Carabao Cup round of 16 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in October. Postecoglou made three big changes this times around with captain Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Djed Spence all taking their turn on the bench with Wilson Odobert starting for the first time since the Carabao Cup game at Coventry.
Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the first half with a close range strike from Jeremy Doku's low cross into the six-yard box.
Tottenham had the better of the second half but could not get the ball past Ederson in the City goal, while Haaland had the visitors' only chance of the second period and put the ball in the net but it was ruled out for handball.
Here are our Spurs player ratings:
Guglielmo Vicario
Bravely stopped Haaland early on but couldn't prevent the striker's close range effort. Saved from Doku 20 minutes in and Haaland on the half hour mark. Didn't have anything really to do in the second half. 7
Pedro Porro
Had a tough night up against the ever-running Doku. Did put in a great cross that Odobert could only slide wide and put in another great late cross that ended up with Sarr heading over. However, he did give the ball away for Haaland's late ruled out effort. 5
Archie Gray
Another impressive display from the 18-year-old as he continues his centre-back education. 7
Kevin Danso
Had ventured upfield and wasn't really switched back on for Haaland's early goal. Had a header tipped over by Ederson before the break. Defended well for much of the second half with some important challenges. 6
Destiny Udogie
Got better as his hour or so went on and should have set up Tel for a chance but his pass was stopped at the last moment. 6
Lucas Bergvall
Another tidy display from the energetic Swede other than one slip-up in front of his own box but he's really progressing now. 7
Rodrigo Bentancur
Probably Spurs' best outfield played in the first half but a yellow card hampered him slightly until he came off after the hour. 7
James Maddison
Battled away with some good challenges and took a yellow card for the team with a rugby tackle on Savinho. 6
Brennan Johnson
Another who started to get into the game as it wore on. Almost set up Maddison for a chance and then did find Son, who had a shot saved by Ederson. 6
Mathys Tel
His touch let him down on the few occasions he was given it. Tough night for him. 4
Wilson Odobert
His first start since September and got better and better as the game wore on, with one shot sent wide and another deflected past the post. 6
Subs
Pape Matar Sarr
Had an early shot blocked soon after coming on and headed over a great last-gasp chance that bounced up from Son's back. 6
Djed Spence
Brought his confidence and thrust to the left side after coming on. 6
Dejan Kulusevski
Battled away in a couple of different roles but without the strength in the dribble at times. 6
Son Heung-min
Had a shot saved by Ederson when he moved into the centre of the attack and tried to flick on the ball to Sarr late on. 6
Timo Werner
Fluffed his one big moment after coming on late when he got into a good position with a poor pass. N/A
