Harry Kane hopes Mathys Tel will fulfil his potential in north London.
A loan signing from FC Bayern on Monday evening, Mathys has joined us on a deal until the end of the season but with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
In doing so, he leaves behind our iconic former striker Harry Kane at Bayern, whom he played 42 times alongside for the Bavarian giants.
A player who went from being a boy to a man with us in N17, became our greatest ever goalscorer and one of the best number nine's/number 10's in the world, Harry will always be indelibly linked with Tottenham Hotspur and be forever 'One of Our Own'.
And now he has sent his best wishes to his friend Mathys, firstly, expressing his delight that the talented Frenchman's next home is N17 as well as his hopes that the young striker will fulfil his potential and drive the Club forward.
Speaking to his fans via his lounge on the Cleats app, Harry said, "It's a great move for both parties. Mathys is a great guy and really hardworking.
"Obviously, for his potential it’s important for him to get some minutes under his belt and some regular game time and hopefully develop, keep improving and hopefully fulfil all the potential that he has.
"It’s great for Tottenham to have a young hungry player with loads of talent to hopefully score some goals and help push Tottenham as far as possible.
"I’m wishing him all the best. I hope he has a fantastic time there. I know he will and I’m sure all the fans will make him feel really welcome as well."
