Heung-Min Son reached 20 goal involvements for the ninth-successive season with two assists in our 4-1 win at Ipswich Town on Saturday.
The skipper was in irresistible form in the first half at Portman Road, providing our first two goals for Brennan Johnson. That took him to nine assists in the Premier League this term which, added to his single assist in the FA Cup, plus 10 goals so far in all competitions, means he's hit 20 goal involvements again - with at least another 14 games to follow.
Our second longest-serving player - Sonny joined us in 2015, toppled only by his great friend, Ben Davies, who arrived in 2014 - Sonny is also closing in on notable club milestones, as we detail below...
As detailed above, Sonny's two assists for Brennan Johnson at Portman Road mean he's hit 20 goal involvements in all competitions again this season - a mark he's chalked up every season in a Spurs shirt since 2016/17.
Sonny's goal involvement #19 in 2024/25
Sonny's double assist at Portman Road means he's up to nine in the Premier League this season - just one away from matching his best of 10 assists achieved in three seasons - 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2023/24. Sonny's second assist in our 5-0 win at Southampton in December took him past Darren Anderton to become our all-time top assist maker in the Premier League with 68. He's now on 71.
Sonny's record-breaking 68 assists
Sonny is now up to 443 appearances for us in all competitions - having already overtaken Harry Kane (435) he's hot on the heels of Hugo Lloris (447) and just seven appearances away from becoming only the seventh player to hit 450 appearances for us in all competitions since we first joined the Football League in 1908. That list, of course, is topped by legendary former skipper Steve Perryman on 854. Meanwhile, Sonny is already up to second in Premier League appearances (326) and sits fourth in Europe (67).
