Tottenham Hotspur have been actively engaged in this summer’s transfer market, building on the momentum from Ange Postecoglou’s first season at the helm.
Spurs have already made significant strides, notably securing Wilson Odobert and Dominic Solanke earlier this month for €29.3 million and €64.3 million, respectively.
Additionally, the Lilywhites strengthened their midfield earlier in the summer with the signings of promising young talents Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray.
As the transfer window approaches its final days, Tottenham’s strategy is shifting from signing new talent to fine-tuning the existing squad.
According to club correspondent Alasdair Gold, the primary focus now lies in offloading players who are surplus to requirements.
However, Gold emphasised that Spurs remain open to seizing new opportunities in terms of late incomings as well.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Tottenham expert stated:
“I still think Spurs will look at opportunities that arise. I think the main focus is still getting players out of the squad, the last remaining few.”
Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon are expected to leave the club before the window shuts as Tottenham look to finalise their roster for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that the club are looking to sign a centre-back and a midfielder before the deadline as well.
With the window closing soon, Spurs are eager to complete these moves, positioning themselves for another successful campaign under Postecoglou’s leadership.
