Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The Denmark international has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou and it remains to be seen where he ends up this summer. He has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks.

Denmark midfielder Thomas Delaney has now urged his compatriot to join the German club this summer. He feels that the 28-year-old Tottenham midfielder is a fantastic player who would improve them.

Delaney has played for the German club in the past, and he feels that the player and the club would be a good match.

“I would recommend it to both sides. He is a fantastic player and I’m very happy to have him as a teammate. He is a top-level central midfielder,” Delaney said on Sky Germany.

Hojbjerg has proven his quality in the Premier League over the years and he has played in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich in the past. He should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact if he joins Dortmund.

The German outfit reached the final of the UEFA Champions League last season and they need to improve their squad if they want to do well next year as well. Signing a quality central midfielder could be a wise decision.

It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the 28-year-old Denmark international this summer.

Delaney has played with Hojbjerg at the international level for Denmark and he knows all about the midfielder. Dortmund could certainly use his skills next season. His ability to control the tempo of the game and protect the defensive unit could come in handy for the German outfit.
