Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC: "We thought about the best possible line-up, and we wanted to try and be better than Man Utd.
"We have a lot of games, and it is going to be an interesting week. Baring this in mind, we believe this is the best squad to start."
On Riccardo Califouri not being in the squad: "He had a light problem yesterday in training and he couldn't make the game."
On the loss against Newcastle: "Every three days we have a game and another opportunity to show the good things that we showed in that game.
