Johnny Cardoso has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season, and the Real Betis midfielder has not responded to links with the Premier League club.

In an interview with AS via SportWitness, the midfielder has explained that he is not concerned about any potential move at the end of the season, and he will let his father and agent sort out his future in due course of time. The midfielder is enjoying his time at the Spanish club, and he is focused on his performances for now.

“I don’t think about it; it’s in the hands of my father and my agent. I try to enjoy myself and to evolve. Things will happen if my performance in the team is good,” he said.

Tottenham can sign the player on a bargain

Tottenham secured a first refusal option on the player when they sold Giovani Lo Celso to Real Betis. They can sign the midfielder for a fee of around €25 million at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham come forward and exercise that clause in the summer.

The 23-year-old has been quite impressive in La Liga and he has the ability to do well in the Premier League as well. He could be an important player for Tottenham and he will add some much needed quality and depth to the side.

The midfielder has a €80 million release clause in his contract, but Tottenham have an opportunity to sign him for a reasonable amount of money. They should look to take up the option and get the deal done.

The United States international is a quality player and he will help Tottenham improve. For €25 million, his signing could prove to be a bargain in future.
