According to 90 min, Jose Mourinho is expected to try and take one of his former Tottenham players to Fenerbahce in January.
Out-of-favour Tottenham man on his way to Turkey?
There are no prizes for guessing that the player mentioned in the report is Sergio Reguilon, who was brought to Spurs from Real Madrid by Mourinho back in 2020.
The Spaniard has not featured for Tottenham for two and a half years, with his last appearance coming all the way back in April 2022.
The left-back has since had spells loan spells at Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford, and he is evidently not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans in North London.
Jose Mourinho wants to raid Spurs
The Portuguese coach is said to be keen on adding reinforcements to his backline and is expected to raid his former club for the out-of-favour left-back.
The report does not say how much Fenerbahce would have to pay for Reguilon, who would only have six months left on his contract at Spurs in January.
Do Tottenham need reinforcements at left-back
While Reguilon’s exit from Spurs appears inevitable, it would be interesting to see if the Lilywhites decide to add another left-back to their squad in January.
