Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel are eligible for Thursday night's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg clash with Liverpool.

The duo, who signed for us on Sunday and Monday respectively, have received their work permits and have trained while they are also eligible for the game having been signed ahead of the second leg.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Ange said: "Kevin and Mathys are both available, have trained, and are clear to play, so they're all good. Kevin will play... whether he starts or not, we'll have a look, because we've got another game three days later. That's been our existence for a while now. It's great to get him in, he's ready to play, whether or not he starts we'll make a decision. Obviously, it's really important he's part of it now, because losing Radu (Dragusin) was a massive blow for us."

Centre-back Kevin joined us from RC Lens early on Sunday morning, arriving on loan for the remainder of the campaign in a deal that includes an obligation for the deal to be made permanent in the summer.

Forward Mathys joined us in the late hours on Monday night. Like Kevin, the Bundesliga title winner also joins us on loan for the remainder of the season but with an option to make the deal permanent come the summer.

Ange was later asked where Mathys might line-up, positionally. "He's got the attributes to play as a nine, for sure, he's also played wide really successfully. At the moment, we're going to need him in all of those areas. We're missing three wingers and a striker. We're still going to have nine, 10 players out, so having Mathys, who can play wide or central, Richy's doing great for at the moment but, again, he's coming off not playing for a while, and we've got to be careful with him. Sonny's playing all the time, Mikey's a 17-year-old, so having Mathys who can play either side, until we get numbers back, he'll fill all three roles.

Ange also confirmed in his pre-Liverpool press conference that it is unlikely that Micky van de Ven will feature against Liverpool with a 'conservative' approach being taken to the defender's reintegration. The same extends to fellow centre-half Cristian Romero.

Our Head Coach also confirmed everyone came through Sunday's win at Brentford, but he does not expect to have any other players back from injury for the game. "In terms of availability from last week, everyone's fine, everyone got through okay, so no issues there," he said. "In terms of the rest (of the currently injured players), no-one else will be available tomorrow."

Micky and Cuti are currently joined on the sidelines by Guglielmo Vicario, Radu Dragusin, Destiny Udogie, James Maddison, Wilson Odobert, Timo Werner, Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson.
