Tottenham Hotspur have had a disappointing season by their standards this year and manager Ange Postecoglou is under a lot of pressure.
There have been rumours that the Australian manager could find himself out of a job in the coming weeks, if the results do not improve drastically.
Tottenham have been linked with multiple managers recently and a report from TBR Football claims that they are keeping tabs on the 38-year-old Premier League manager, Kieran McKenna.
The former Spurs player and coach did well to get Ipswich promoted to the Premier League and even though they have struggled in the top flight this season, he is highly rated in England. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a managerial change in the coming weeks.
Postecoglou has been backed significantly in the transfer market, but he has not been able to get the best out of a squad. Spurs are in the midtable positions right now and securing a place in Europe for the next season is looking increasingly difficult.
A managerial change could be ideal for Tottenham at the end of the season and McKenna will certainly be excited to take on the job if he is presented with the opportunity.
The chance to return to his former club will be quite tempting for him. Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs in the country, and it would be a huge opportunity for McKenna to showcase his qualities at the highest level.
Postecoglou will look to keep his job beyond this season and it remains to be seen whether he can turn things around. There is no doubt that he is a quality manager and he has had his fair share of bad luck this season. Tottenham have had persistent injury problems, and the Australian manager will feel that his team could have done a lot better with a bit more luck in terms of injuries and availability.
