Man Utd are moving their women’s team into portable buildings at their Carrington training complex this season to allow the men’s squad to use their facilities during renovation works, according to The Guardian.

Ten Hag set for new deal

Erik ten Hag has moved closer to signing a new contract at Man Utd following positive talks with the club and is set to retain the title of manager, according to the Daily Mail.

United and Ten Hag are said to be aligned after the club's end-of-season review was completed earlier this month, a process which lasted longer than two weeks and saw other managers sounded out for the role.

However, the review concluded Ten Hag should remain in charge.

Man Utd could enter race for Calvert-Lewin

Man Utd could enter the race to sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin if they are unable to get a deal with Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee over the line, according to The Sun.

Sky Sports reported on Monday that Newcastle would not pursue their interest in the 27-year-old.

The Magpies had been in talks with the player but a £40m deal had proved too costly.

Calvert-Lewin has a year left on his contract at Goodison Park and is a player Newcastle boss Eddie Howe had been monitoring for several years.

Manchester United are understood to be focused on reaching an agreement on Erik ten Hag’s contract extension, amid reports that Ruud van Nistelrooy could join the coaching staff.

Positive talks continue with Ten Hag, who has a year left on his current deal plus the option of an extra 12 months.

It was reported that Van Nistelrooy had been approached by his former club over the weekend.

United are keeping an eye on how they can improve their coaching staff and said to be aware of the qualities of Van Nistelrooy.

The Dutchman, linked with the Burnley job last week, has not been in a job since he left his role as PSV head coach last year.

Manchester United are keen to improve Erik ten Hag's defence, the Sunday Express reports, but have found the valuations on Premier League stars such as Jarrad Branthwaite, Marc Guehi and Max Kilman to be unrealistic.

Manchester United are expected to meet the €40m (£33.8m) release clause in Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee’s contract.

Discussions are ongoing between the two clubs. It will then be up to the player and his representatives to decide if they want to speak to United over a potential move.

United have other targets if a move for Zirkzee doesn’t materialise.

Fenerbahce interested in Lindelof

Fenerbahce are interested in signing Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.

The Turkish club are yet to make a formal approach for the 29-year-old.

Lindelof has entered the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and there are currently no talks over a new deal.

Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho signed Lindelof from Benfica when he was in charge at Manchester United in the summer of 2017.

Sky Sports News reported in May that Lindelof is among a group of players United would allow to leave the club this summer.
