On Tuesday evening, Leeds United finally confirmed the signing of Manor Solomon on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur as the club’s sixth summer signing.
Having signed Joe Rodon permanently, brought Joe Rothwell in on loan and buying Jayden Bogle, Largie Ramazani and Alex Cairns. Before Ramazani’s arrival last week, it had been a month without new signings.
Solomon, 25, joins Leeds on a dry loan having only managed six appearances for Tottenham last season after Ange Postecoglou brought him to the North London side, tearing the meniscus in his knee cap.
It saw Solomon forced to watch from the sidelines before the Israel star returned to fitness and has now decided to go on loan to prove his worth, choosing Leeds over the likes of Dutch giants Ajax and Getafe.
Solomon sends message to Tottenham after Leeds move done
His move to Leeds comes after Daniel Farke said publicly he wanted four new signings after the exit of Georginio Rutter to Brighton. Replacements for Crysencio Summerville and Rutter and two other signings.
Solomon and Ramazani have come in for the two departing attackers, while a full-back and a midfielder are also likely to be brought in before the deadline. It will be interesting to see where Solomon is played.
Taking to his Instagram story after the move was confirmed at 5pm on Tuesday, Solomon sent a nice message to his parent club. He said: “Good luck for the season Tottenham. Hope you guys smash it.”

What Archie Gray told Solomon about Leeds prior to move
Solomon told LUTV following his arrival that he spoke to new £40m Tottenham star Archie Gray and asked the teenager about Leeds, with Gray said to have told Solomon only “great things” about the club.
“Yeah, I spoke with Archie a bit and he told me some great things about the club. I spoke with some other people, the assistant coach at Tottenham who also told me some great stuff about Leeds,” Solomon said.
Ramazani and Dan James are natural wingers but Solomon and Wilfried Gnonto are more than capable of playing as a 10, while Brenden Aaronson is currently the club’s top scorer after starring last Friday.
