Lucas Bergvall has officially joined Tottenham Hotspur following the conclusion of his contract with Djurgarden.

Football London reported that the talented midfielder’s new contract with Spurs commenced on July 1, following his £8.5 million transfer from the Swedish club.

Tottenham reportedly have big plans for Bergvall, who is set to be integrated directly into the first team for the upcoming season.

Signed on the final day of the January transfer window, Bergvall signed a five-year contract with the Lilywhites. Despite strong interest from Barcelona, the 18-year-old chose Spurs, eager to make his mark in the Premier League.

Initially, it was reported that the club plans to introduce Bergvall through the club’s academy, gradually promoting him to the senior side.

However, this strategy has been revised, and the teenager is now set to compete for a first-team spot.

During his last season on loan in Allsvenskan, Bergvall continued to display his talent.

He played in 19 games across all competitions, accumulating 1506 minutes, scoring six goals, and providing five assists.

Bergvall has also made an impact on the international stage, representing Sweden at various youth levels.

He made his senior debut in a friendly match against Estonia in January this year.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see the young superstar shine the Spurs colours.

His technical skills and on-the-ball abilities are highly regarded, and while the league’s pace and intensity could present a significant challenge, Tottenham believe he is ready to make his mark with Spurs.
