Heung-min Son confesses that he and his Tottenham teammates are extremely disappointed with the performance against Ipswich Town, and he apologised to the fans for the result.

Huge missed opportunity for Spurs

Tottenham would have moved to third place in the Premier League table with a win over Ipswich Town, but instead a shock 2-1 loss has left them languishing in tenth place.

The performance raised several alarm bells, with the Lilywhites struggling to break down the opposition and looking porous at the back.

The display has left many Spurs fans doubting if the team can ever become consistent enough to challenge for a Champions League spot.

Heung-min Son confesses Tottenham have to do better

Son admitted that the players were distraught at the performance and the result, confessing that they have to do better at home. The Tottenham captain put the result down to missed chances to score early in the game and lapses in concentration at the back.

Son told the club’s official website: “Yes, it was a very disappointing afternoon and the result, of course, but the performance as well, we definitely have to be better because we missed this opportunity to go ahead, and we made the game a difficult situation by ourselves, which is very disappointing.

“I mean, before they scored two goals, or even the first goal, we had a couple of chances where we can score the goal and go ahead, but we didn’t, and then we conceded two goals, very silly goals, which is also very painful. We know how important it is to defend our goal at home, we didn’t.

The Tottenham players care
