Bayer Leverkusen sensation Victor Boniface is not in talks with Tottenham despite recent reports.
The North London club have been quite proactive in the transfer window in recent seasons. Their focus has been on identifying young players who can help them in the long run and beat the competition to their signature. Having added three world-class talents to their ranks in the summer, Tottenham’s search for more quality continues.
Bayer Leverkusen’s young attacking sensation Victor Boniface has been linked with Spurs of late. Reports from England have suggested that the North London club are interested in acquiring in Nigerian striker’s services. However, according to a report from All Nigeria Soccer, Boniface is happy to continue at the German club and reports linking him with a move to Tottenham are wide off the mark.
The report claims that the information is ‘one hundred percent confirmed’.
In his debut season in Germany, he bagged 21 goals and 10 assists in his 34 outings and has started the 2024/25 season in fine fashion with four goals and an assist. It is quite understandable why Spurs have been linked with him as they seek more firepower up top.
The reports suggested that representatives from Tottenham have been scouting him of late and they were in the stands to watch him in action against Wolfsburg on Sunday as he came off the bench to score an injury-time winner.
While the agency that represents Boniface has strong links with the North London club, nothing is advanced between the two parties and a potential transfer is not on the cards. The player’s camp are yet to hold any talks with Tottenham regarding a move to the Premier League.
