Pape Matar Sarr has taken the title for March's Goal of the Month in recognition of his unique strike against AFC Bournemouth.
Coming in our 2-2 draw with the Cherries as we came from 2-0 down to salvage a point at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the midfielder spectacularly curled in from range to kick start our fightback.
A goal that began at the feet of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, Pape picked up the ball just inside the Bournemouth half before marauding forward and, when on the edge of the box, he looked up, spotted Kepa Arrizabalaga off his line before curling the ball over the goalkeeper and into the far corner of the net.
And, while it may have appeared that the Senegal international had actually attempted to cross the ball, the power, direction, accuracy and the lack of Spurs men in the box suggested otherwise!
That was Pape's sixth goal of the campaign so far and his ninth in our colours since his debut in January, 2023.
The goal took 34 per cent of the vote in a poll run across our website and official app and is the second time he has won the award this term after his effort against Manchester City took the October award.
