Tottenham star Pedro Porro has been linked with many European clubs
Tottenham Hotspur have not enjoyed a great start to the season and dropped further points on Sunday following a 1-1 draw with Fulham.
The highly inconsistent performances and results have seen Ange Postecoglou’s side drop to seventh in the Premier League table, although they remain only five points behind second-place Arsenal. The North London side have been hit with injuries to key players, with the likes of Micky van de Ven, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Mikey Moore all currently on the treatment table.

In addition, there are some question marks hanging over the futures of some of the club’s high-profile players ahead of the winter transfer window. And one of those is Pedro Porro.
Pedro Porro has seen his stock skyrocket ever since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou last year after a challenging start to life in North London. The Spaniard is now regarded as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, thanks to his consistent and influential displays both offensively and while defending.
This has led to the Don Benito-born talent linked with moves away to Manchester City and Real Madrid in the last couple of months. Real Madrid, in particular, could move for Porro if their pursuit of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold fails in the summer.
Now, according to a report from Spanish outlet Sport, Porro believes the time is now right to make the step up and play for a bigger club than Tottenham.

The 25-year-old has ambitions of playing in the Champions League regularly, having only enjoyed 37 minutes of action in the elite European competition since arriving at Spurs from Sporting CP in January 2023. Manchester United are the latest entrant in the race for his signature as new head coach Ruben Amorim wants to reunite with Porro after enjoying a great time together at Sporting CP.
Porro is Ange Postecoglou’s undisputed first choice at right-back. After him, we have Djed Spence, who remains on the fringes, and the versatile Archie Gray, who is a No.6 by trade but has operated everywhere across the backline this season following his summer switch from Leeds United.

So, Big Ange and Tottenham would undoubtedly loathe to lose the Spanish international next year, but it will be an even bigger shame to see him join one of our Premier League rivals.
As Porro is rumoured to have decided to end his chapter in North London for pastures new, the chiefs at the Hotspur Way have to bring in a quality right-back to replace him in January itself.
