A report this week suggests that a Tottenham Hotspur bid is "on the table" pre-summer, and the player subject to this offer is ready to depart his current club.

Tottenham back in form under Ange Postecoglou as players return

The return of key first-team squad members like James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and Guglielmo Vicario have proved to be a major boost for the recently under-fire Ange Postecoglou in Spurs' dugout.

Johnson bagged a brace against Ipswich Town in their last outing, a 4-1 victory at Portman Road which made it three consecutive Premier League wins for the Lilywhites for the first time this season, while Maddison has proved just as pivotal with his winner against Man United the game before.

This run of results hands Postecoglou some much-needed breathing room between him and talk of the sack, with Spurs now preparing to face English champions Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday evening.

"We've certainly benefited from having a couple of midweeks off for sure," said Postecoglou on Tottenham's better luck lately.

"That's coincided with getting a few players back. You saw today we were able to rest a couple of players in Pedro and Madders. I can make substitutions and the players coming on can make a difference.

"We're certainly in a good space of using these two weeks as well as we could to re-energise the team and I think it is. We've still got some significant players out. We've got Solanke, Richarlison, Romero, Van de Ven, Ben Davies, he's out today. They're all still to come back. I just feel like we've got a really good opportunity in these next 10 days to be well-equipped for what's ahead. What's ahead is obviously Europe, but also an opportunity to address our league position which is obviously not good enough."

If anything, these last few months have exposed Tottenham's glaring lack of depth in certain areas, with chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange addressing that somewhat in the January window.

Now, a lot of the transfer talk centres around Spurs potentially signing a new forward this summer, but a new midfielder could also be on the cards.

£25m bid "on the table" as Tottenham target Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi

According to Inter Live, Italy international Davide Frattesi is on Levy's transfer radar for next season. They apparently attempted to sway him towards N17 last summer, but to no avail. However, they may have a better chance this year, as it is believed Frattesi is "ready to leave" Inter, and his transfer is seen as a very real possibility.

As well as this, IL suggest a £25 million bid is "on the table" from Tottenham, and the 25-year-old is "in their sights" ahead of the 2025/2026 campaign.

Frattesi is dubbed a "big-name" player in Simone Inzaghi's squad, but the Serie A champions could well part company regardless as Spurs sense an opportunity to prise him away from the San Siro.
