One Premier League side are not overly worried about Tottenham Hotspur’s reported interest in their star man ahead of the January transfer window.

Tottenham eyeing Premier League winger

It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Spurs have been impressed with Antoine Semenyo’s performances this season and are plotting a January move for the winger.

It was claimed by Football Insider last week that the Lilywhites could battle the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United for the 24-year-old, who has four goal contributions to his name so far this season.

The outlet added that an offer of around £40m-£50m would be enough to prise away the attacker from the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth not worried about Antoine Semenyo

The latest report from talkSPORT has now also backed up Tottenham and Newcastle’s interest in Semenyo, but it is revealed that the Cherries are relaxed about the situation.

This is because the Ghana international’s current deal at the South Coast runs until the summer of 2029.

As a result, Andoni Iraola’s men are well protected and are expected to demand a ‘huge fee’ if anyone knocks on the door over a deal for their star man.

Tottenham may have one advantage

However, Bournemouth’s efforts to keep hold of Semenyo may not be straightforward as the player’s desire for a new challenge is now public information.

The winger himself admitted last week that he has his sights on playing for one of the top clubs as he wants a taste of European football.

Semenyo told The Athletic: “I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen I need to prove it. Yeah, any team that plays Champions League, Europa (League) — that’s the aim.

“I know that’s not going to come with a click of my fingers, it’s going to take some time. It’s going to take goals. It’s going to take a lot of consistent performances. But I’ve worked all my life for that and I’m just going to continue working hard. That’s my mentality.”
