Vardy's back injury

Man Utd 1-0 Leicester

Simon Stone

BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Erik ten Hag frequently bemoaned his bad luck with injuries but arguably injuries to Leicester players have a bigger impact because Steve Cooper doesn't have the same strength in depth.

He is without top scorer Jamie Vardy today with a back injury.

That has to have a negative impact on the Foxes ability to threaten Manchester United's defence.

Nottingham Forest 1-0 Newcastle

Newcastle have responded well to conceding.

They win another corner when Joe Willock drives into the area but his low cross is blocked.

Gordon's set piece is cleared though. Newcastle have had three so far but Forest have dealt with them well.

Newcastle now have to open up a bit more.

The atmosphere is electric in here now, it's gone wild. These fans will be right behind Forest.

Forest will sit in this mid-block and be ready to pounce for the counter-attacks. Really important Newcastle stay focused and get back into their game.

Fist pumps from Nuno on the touchline.

Forest had not looked as composed as Newcastle in the opening 20 minutes but it was an excellent delivery from Anthony Elanga. The Magpies did not pick up Murillo at all though, it was really poor marking.

'A fantastic header'

Fantastic bit of play from Elanga to win the free-kick. Then it is a great ball in.

It's about getting across your man and that's what Murillo does. Because he is on the move there is no chance for the defender. He attacks it really well and it's a fantastic header.

GOAL - Nottingham Forest 1-0 Newcastle

Murillo

His first Forest goal!

I told you the free-kick was in a dangerous position. It's a lovely ball by Anthony Elanga but it's poor defending from Newcastle.

Murillo is unmarked and runs through a gap and powers home a header.

There's a lovely little jig with Elanga to celebrate too.

Good keeping from Nick Pope.

Forest work Ryan Yates in down the right channel but Pope is out quickly to smother behind for a corner.

That is cleared at the near post before Joe Willock clatters in Anthony Elanga. A dangerous free-kick on the right for Forest.
