Lucas Bergvall could soon get his big break at Tottenham Hotspur with his first start on the horizon.
The North London club struck a deal with Swedish outfit Djurgardens at the start of the year to secure the services of Lucas Bergvall. While there was a significant amount of interest in the teenager’s services, they managed to beat the competition and he made the move to London in the summer.
The Swedish midfielder has had an impressive start to life at Tottenham. He was quite impressive during the pre-season and has been involved in all three of their Premier League fixtures so far. Bergvall has come off the bench to rack up 31 minutes so far and according to GIVEMESPORT, he is all set to make his first start of the season later this month.
Spurs are gearing up to face arch-rivals Arsenal after the end of the international break. While Bergvall could play a part in the North London derby, he is unlikely to star. But the teenager could get his first start in the Tottenham shirt in their Carabao Cup tie against Championship outfit Coventry City as they will most likely look to rest James Maddison.
The young attacking midfielder is desperate to burst onto the scene at Spurs after the international break and the cup fixtures could help him convince Ange Postecoglou about an even bigger role in the team. He has recently featured in his first competitive game for Sweden and the next few weeks could have a big say on how his debut season in England will pan out.
