Richarlison has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur teammate Dominic Solanke is fit to face Arsenal, though he himself is expected to miss the game.

Richarlison and Dominic Solanke have both been out injured for Tottenham Hotspur recently, and whilst the former isn’t expected to return in time to face Arsenal in Sunday’s north London derby, he’s hinted that Solanke might make his return.

Solanke celebrated his 27th birthday on Saturday, and in response to his Instagram post, Richarlison tipped Heung-min Son to provide him with an assist against Arsenal, saying: “Sonny will give you a gift tomorrow bro.”

The striker is yet to score or assist for his new club, blanking against Leicester City and then missing the following two matches through injury. He’ll want to get off the mark against Arsenal.

Ange Postecoglou had suggested that fellow injury doubt Micky van de Ven would be fit and available, but he’d been a little more vague on Solanke.

“Micky’s good, he’s trained all the way through the international break and it was good for him to stay with us to build him back up so he’s ready to go,” Postecoglou said.

“Dom’s improved as well and trained the back half of this week. We still have two days to go with those guys so hopefully they get through training ok and are available.”

As mentioned, Richarlison is set to miss the match, but it seems Yves Bissouma is the only other potential injury absentee for Spurs.

Bissouma picked up a knock on international duty, and Postecoglou suggested he’s a doubt for the match.

“Everyone’s reporting all well except for Biss,” Postecoglou said. “He’s got a bit of an issue, but we’ll have a look at him over the next couple of days and see how it settles.

“It’s not serious, but he’s getting treatment today. We’ll see how it goes.”
