Arne Slot's team produced a clinical win in north London to move four points clear at the summit of the table at Christmas.

Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah each netted doubles for the Reds, alongside goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Tottenham responded via James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke, though Liverpool fully merited their three points.

"At the end, I think we did really well," Gravenberch told Liverpoolfc.com post-match.

"I think we controlled the game but [in] the last minutes we conceded the goals and we shouldn't have let that happen. I think we can do better but we played a really good game and scored six. Happy with that."

Arne Slot press conference: Tottenham 3-6 Liverpool, top at Christmas, Salah and more

On what was the key to Liverpool's overall performance…

Energy in the attacking part, I think. At the end we scored six goals and that was the key part.

On starting the game with a real intent and desire…

Yes, because we know Tottenham give everything here from the start, so we wanted to give more than them. I think we did that in the beginning and we scored really nice goals.

On going 3-1 up to restore the two-goal cushion before the break…

Obviously we are playing an away game and they came back to 2-1. The defence are going to stand behind them. Then Dom scores and it's 3-1, that was really important that we scored that.

On extending the lead at the top to four points again with a game in hand…

We are really happy with this position. Of course, if you are top of the league it's a good position, but it's still really early. There's still half of the season left, and we have to keep going like this and then we'll see.
