Tottenham Hotspur have named their starting team for Sunday’s clash at Manchester United with Son Heung-min ruled out.

Son was substituted during the 3-0 win over Qarabag in the Europa League on Thursday and has lost his race to feature at Old Trafford.

Ange Postecoglou suggested the North Londoners would give the South Korea international every opportunity to feature but Son has not been named in the Australian’s matchday squad.

Brennan Johnson retains his place in the forward line as the 23-year-old looks to continue his impressive form. Johnson has scored in three consecutive appearances across all competitions for Spurs, netting in wins over Coventry, Brentford and Qarabag.

The backline is as expected with Cristian Romero partnering Micky van de Ven in central defence, while Postecoglou has retained the attack-minded midfield from last weekend’s win over Brentford, with James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski starting in deeper roles.

Timo Werner has been named as Son’s replacement on the left, with Dominic Solanke leading the line.
