Tottenham Hotspur could be looking to ramp up their interest in Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué, understanding that the Frenchman is on the radar of various top European clubs this summer.

The 19-year-old had a standout 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games and racking up four goals and six assists in all competitions for the Ligue 1 team. As a result, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in the teenager.

However, Spurs are under internal pressure to land Doué whose stock could rise even more with a good performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to transfer window expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham scouts suggest and push for Doué.

Journalist Abdellah Boulma recently reported that Bayern Munich and PSG are currently the frontrunners in signing Doué. The Bundesliga side have a slight lead, but PSG are still in the race as the file is not yet closed.

It will be interesting to see if this is why Tottenham are under pressure from their scouts, as other teams could advance on this file, and it might be too late for them to make up ground in discussions.
