Lopetegui ready to give utility man a chance

West Ham remains interested in Ryan Sessegnon, according to West Ham ITK ExWHUEmployee, who has stated that the club is considering putting together a proposal for the out-of-contract player.

Sessegnon has been released by Tottenham and is available on a free transfer. The £30m signing from Fulham could be invited to join the Hammers for pre-season with a view to a permanent contract.

This would mirror the offer made last summer to Jesse Lingard, who spent the pre-season at Rush Green training with the West Ham first team.

There is no doubting Sessegnon’s talents; he is a versatile player capable of playing anywhere on the left side of the pitch. Unfortunately, his fitness record is appalling, hence the reason why Spurs decided not to renew his contract.

If the deal were structured correctly, this might not be such a bad move for the Hammers, who are looking to save funds where possible.
