Tottenham have been dealt a double blow ahead of their Premier League game with Newcastle United on Saturday, with TWO more players ruled out.

Ange Postecoglou's squad is already severely stretched, but he saw defender Destiny Udogie limp out of Sunday's 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers with a hamstring problem, while Rodrigo Bentancur will be suspended after picking up five yellow cards. Spurs are already down to the bare bones at the back, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are long-term absentees while Ben Davies faces another couple of weeks on the sidelines.

First-half goals by Rodrigo Bentancur and Brennan Johnson cancelled out Hwang Hee-chan's brilliant opener for Wolves, but a late Jorgen Strand Larsen goal with three minutes left to ensured the spoils were shared in north London.

Postecoglou refused to be too hard on his players, who will get two days off with Spurs set to have a rare clear midweek ahead of Saturday's visit of Newcastle.

"We have to try to get some support for the players," he said. "Both mentally and physically and in terms of numbers to give them the opportunity to play at their best. They're very disappointed, but it's not through the want of trying."
