Everton remain in desperate need of a new striker before the end of the window.
Despite putting another three points on the board on Saturday, Everton’s celebrations will have been overshadowed by injury concerns.
As well as midfielder Orel Mangala, Moyes shared an update on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s hamstring injury.
Everton have had their struggles in finding the back of the net this season and their efforts haven’t been helped by injury issues.
The Friedkins are keen to sign a forward for Everton this month, but time is running out for the new owners to act in the market.
And the Toffees may have just been handed a boost in their pursuit of one player who is in high demand this month.
Everton target Evan Ferguson snubs Tottenham interest
There will be a number of players on the transfer shortlist on Merseyside with just over a week to go.
Everton are showing an interest in Evan Ferguson with the striker looking for a potential move away from Brighton & Hove Albion.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
It is not just Moyes’ side who are showing an interest, with The Telegraph claiming Ferguson has already snubbed a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The young striker is concerned his game time may not dramatically improve with a move to north London this month.
It is worth noting the Ireland international missed the game on the weekend with his own injury issue.
Ferguson would be open to a move to Everton this month if he is to leave Brighton.
But the Toffees are going to be up against it with West Ham also keen to sign Ferguson as they endure their own issues up top.
Ferguson could start for Everton under David Moyes
There is still a lot to figure out at Goodison Park with Everton weighing up Armando Broja’s future following his latest injury setback.
The injury to Calvert-Lewin has really stretched Moyes’ options up front with Beto now the only fit senior striker at the club.
And there is no certainty the Portuguese striker will remain at the club with Beto believed to be pushing for a move away before the end of the window.
The lack of fit options may have just opened up a great opportunity for Ferguson to land some regular first team football on Merseyside.
However, a potential loan move to Goodison would require the Friedkins to find a solution with Broja and the loan spot he is taking up.
