The name “Bellingham” has become household in the footballing world over the past half decade.

And the name is only going to grow in prominence, with Jude’s younger brother, Jobe, also in the ascendancy. As the 19-year-old continues his upward trajectory, his current employers are well aware of where that leaves them.

Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham transfer stance revealed

As reported by Sunderland Echo, the Black Cats will put a “huge price tag” on their star midfielder Jobe Bellingham ahead of the January transfer window.

Sunderland are currently top of the Championship table, keen to end their Premier League exile this time round, and the England U20 international has been a key part of the first XI.

Occupying a deeper role in midfield this time round, Jobe has made 13 appearances across all competitions, registering two goals and an assist.

Borussia Dortmund are keen to entice the younger Bellingham to also arrive at Signal Iduna Park, while in the Premier League, the likes of Crystal Palace, West Ham, and Tottenham are keen on him.

The 2005-born player has in place a £12,500-per-week contract at the Stadium of Light, which is set to run until June 2028.

History may not repeat itself

BVB have been in recent history a place for young talent to grow and prosper before taking the next big step. This has been the case regardless of how the team perform on the pitch.

Jobe is already on a path quite different than the one Jude took; the latter didn’t stay in the Football League for this long, and that may entice him to not make the same move Jude did. To that end, Tottenham are also keen on establishing themselves as a good move for youngsters to grow regardless of their fortunes on the pitch, which may help them land the Englishman.

It is unlikely Jobe goes anywhere in the winter, though. Sunderland are top of the Championship table and won’t part ways with a key player for anything less than a ridiculous offer. If they get promoted at the end of the season, Jobe’s price tag will only go further up.
