After the end of last season, there were still Spurs fans debating whether Dejan Kulusevski was a good fit for Ange Postecoglou‘s system and if the club should sell him.
The Swede had certainly not set the world alight over the last two campaigns, failing to impact games and struggling for consistency.
However, the 24-year-old has made his detractors look silly this season, dominating matches regularly and looking a cut above the rest of his teammates.
The former Juventus man has been the sole shining light in what has been a campaign to forget for the Lilywhites so far.

Despite the Tottenham man’s impressive showing, he is perhaps still not getting the credit he deserves, down to the side’s struggles this season.
Neither Jamie Carragher nor Gary Neville had the 24-year-old in their Premier League Team of the Season so far, with neither pundit even giving him a mention in their discussion on the subject.

However, Sherwood has included the Spurs man in his best eleven of the first half of the same, naming a midfielder three of Kulusevski, Cole Palmer and Matheus Cunha.
